If you live in, around or not far enough where you mind a little drive to Kennett Square, Pa. I definetly recommend going to Longwood Gardens before the Christmas season is over.
We went yesterday to celebrate the opening of the season and their light show and it was simply spectacular (and a great inspiration to put up lights outside your own house).
Among the attractions are amazing lights, beautiful flowers, ice skating and George’s favorite the dancing fountains (with lights and music).
I loved walking through all bundled up in the brisk air, watching the look of awe on the kids faces. It is definelty a must see and a great family outing.
The holiday display is going on now until January 6th.
They even have a “family friendly” New Years Eve Celebration ,which I am thinking of checking out this year, complete with Strolling Carolers, face-painting, balloon artists and a kraft station for the kids.
Here’s a tip: If you have kids under the age of 4 and are looking for something to do, at at Longwood Gardens kids under the age of 4 are free!
